Cute Kawaii Cross Stitch

Our second book, Cute Kawaii Cross Stitch (David & Charles) is due for release on June 20. While my very mature (uh-hem) adult self is typing this as any ordinary thing, my inner child is dancing and singing and jumping up and down on the sofa cushions. And I’m not about to tell her to stop. I’ve wanted to be an author since I was 5 years old. By the time I was 13, I wanted to write the Great American Novel, with all the prerequisite teenage broodiness and Hemingwayesque glibness I could muster. Mercifully, that dream fizzled, and I was able to focus on doing what I loved, and taking that route to the ultimate dream of writing a book. Now, with our second book-baby due for release, while my mind & body are still exhausted from work and stress, my soul is doing cartwheels. All in all, it’s a wonderful feeling.
